Meet Sophie

I remember the days my babies had their first open heart procedures like they were yesterday. You cannot imagine the pain of having to hand over your seemingly healthy baby to the OR nurse and watch them walk away not knowing if you will hold them alive again or not. Sophie's mom had to do just that several times, but thankfully, Sophie is doing wonderfully.

This family will also hold a special place in Nancy’s heart. Nancy met Sophie’s mommy when she was still pregnant. She has walked beside them since the very beginning, and is still friends with them today. Sophie’s mom not only came out to a fundraiser for Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope, but she was interviewed by a local reporter and also filmed a piece for the website. It is relationships like that that make this ministry so powerful It is so much more than just handing out assistance; it is building relationships.
