Ed Gamble - 2014-2020
Ed served as President of Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope’s Board since 2015. He is the owner of Gamble Funeral Service, and an active member of White Bluff United Methodist Church where he serves on the Endowment Committee. Ed’s leadership helped guide the foundation and policies of Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope.
Thornton Barrow 2014-2022
Thornton served on the Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope board as treasurer since 2014 as Treasurer. He is a financial advisor and serves as Senior Vice President/Investments at Stifel Financial. Thornton serves as Trustee for the Wormsloe Foundation and the Wormsloe Institute of Environmental History. He is an active member of his church serving as a Deacon for Citizen Church Pooler, located in Pooler, GA.
Thornton’s leadership and unquestionable character helped guide the creation of Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope.
Diane Saturday - 2014 - 2022
Diane faithfully served as Secretary of Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope since 2014. As Ansley’s Godmother and a dear part of the Gearhart family’s story, she brought a servant’s heart, wisdom, and deep compassion to the mission. Her years of service, leadership, and love have been a lasting blessing to Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope.
Matt Hearn - 2014 - 2019
Matt faithfully served on the board of Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope as Vice President, bringing practical wisdom, encouragement, and humor to every meeting. He was known for his quick wit, direct honesty, love for Jesus, and deep devotion to his family and friends.
Matt passed away in 2021 after a courageous battle with cancer. His faith, laughter, and servant heart remain a treasured part of our story and a lasting blessing to the mission of Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope.
Linda Winders, MD 2014-2020
Dr. Linda Winders faithfully served on the board of Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope for 6 years. As a board-certified pediatrician, she brought valuable medical insight, compassion, and a heart for children and families to the mission.
Her years of service, wisdom, and dedication have been a meaningful blessing to Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope and to the families we serve.
Joseph “Joe” Ebberwein 2018 - 2024
Joe Ebberwein joined the Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope board in 2018. He and Nancy first connected while working together at THA Group, and he brought valuable leadership, financial insight, and a heart for ministry to the organization.
As the founder of Hands of Christ Ministries and a healthcare finance leader, Joe has dedicated much of his work to improving care for patients and families in need. His wisdom, faith, and commitment to serving others have been a meaningful blessing to Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope and the families we serve.
Jack Moon
Pastor Jack Moon joined the Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope board in 2018 and later served as President beginning in 2020. Nancy and Robert first met Pastor Jack through Tres Dias, and he became a meaningful part of their healing journey after the loss of Ansley.
Pastor Jack served as Lead Pastor of Southside Assembly of God from 1989 to 2024 and also wrote the foreword for Searching for Rainbows. His faith, leadership, wisdom, and compassion have been a lasting blessing to Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope and the families we serve.
Julie Slagle 2020 - 2024
Julie joined the Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope board in 2020 after connecting with Nancy through her work as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She was a compassionate and trusted referral source, pouring her heart into the children and families she served.
With years of experience supporting children and families through medical, emotional, and developmental challenges, Julie brought wisdom, compassion, and firsthand understanding to the mission. She later stepped away from the board after becoming pregnant with her second set of twins.
Julie is married and has four children. Her kindness, dedication, and heart for families have been a meaningful blessing to Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope.
Renee Hernandez 2019 - 2022
Renee joined the Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope board in 2019 after faithfully serving as an Adopt-a-Family volunteer. Her compassion, dedication, and willingness to serve quickly became an invaluable part of the team.
Through her own family’s journey with a child born with Down syndrome and a congenital heart defect, Renee understands the fear, exhaustion, and challenges of living away from home while a child fights for their life in the hospital. Her personal experience, servant heart, and deep compassion have been a meaningful blessing to Ansley’s Rainbows of Hope and the families we serve.
